The Child of the Forest

  • What did I work on?

    • Production: I worked to lead meetings, create/manage tasks, and maintain lines of communication along with the other producer on the project. During this project, we utilized Trello for our task tracking, so this is where a lot of my task work was done. We also utilized discord as our main method of communication for the entire duration of the project. In terms of maintaining communication and task creation/management, I was in charge of the programming team. This team was a total of 4 developers, including myself.

    • Programming: Utilizing Unreal Engine 4's blueprint system, I was responsible for adding functionality to interactable objects within the level. I mainly dealt with the falling tree functionality, while assisting wherever else help was need, such as the raised bridge functionality.

    • Level Design: I created the levels to match our design team's layouts. I also worked on set dressing by populating the world with trees, rocks, bushes, and leaf VFX.
