Hey everyone! I'm Daniel.

Hey there! My name is Pedro Daniel Garcia, but I generally go by Daniel. I'm a digital media - game design student at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL with a focus on game production. I'm currently looking for producer role internships to gain some valuable experience and further my knowledge about the position. You can find a few of my previous projects under the experiences tab above.

My North Star
"I want to put really talented people in the best position to succeed." This has been my guiding principle since I first set my sights on the role of producer. As I first approached the role, I knew it was important, however, as I gained experience, I realized how vital it really is. While it may be intimidating at times, the producer role allows others to flourish and that is my ultimate goal.

What do I play?

In regards to what I play, I'm generally very open to most types of games. Lately, I've been tending to gravitate towards third-person RPGs. For example, I've recently played Infamous and Person 5 Royal. I do, however, also have a special place in my heart for rhythm games. A couple of my favorites are Rock Band 2 and the Persona Dancing series. When I'm not playing the larger RPGs I've been gravitating to, I enjoy playing games that I can experience with my friends. I have fond memories of playing games like Overwatch and Rocket League with some of my closest friends. Here's a short list of some of my favorites to give a better idea of the games I enjoy.

Top Five Games:

  1. God of War (2018)

  2. Persona 5 Royal

  3. Borderlands 2

  4. Tetris 99

  5. Rock Band 2

What else do I do?

When I'm not studying, playing, or working on games, you can generally find me watching sports, spending time with friends, or some combination of both.

I love spending time with those that are close to me, whether it's friends or family. I'm always trying to plan lunches, dinners, or hangouts whenever possible (thanks a lot virus).

I'm a big sports fan. I have investments in fandoms for baseball, basketball, football, and hockey. However, if I'm being honest,  I'll really watch any sport. For me, I'm really attracted to the competitive team aspect of sports. Something about a group of people coming together and working in cooperation to complete a larger task really clicks with me, especially when I relate it to the idea of game dev teams.
